(1) Flat Pallets. Flat pallets are almost synonymous with pallets. Whenever pallets are mentioned, it generally refers to flat pallets because they are the most widely used, used in the largest quantities, and have the best versatility. Flat pallets can be further divided into three types.
(2) Post Pallets. Post pallets are divided into fixed and detachable types. Their basic structure consists of steel posts at the four corners of the pallet, with crossbeams connecting the tops of the posts to form a frame. The main functions of post pallets are: firstly, to support heavy objects for stacking; and secondly, to prevent goods placed on the pallet from collapsing during transportation and loading/unloading.
(3) Box Pallets. Box pallets are pallets with side panels on all four sides. Some boxes have a top panel, while others do not. The side panels are available in three types: fixed, folding, and detachable. The side panels can be flat, lattice, or mesh. Therefore, box pallets with lattice-style side panels are also called cage pallets or warehouse cages. Box pallets offer strong protection, preventing collapse and damage to goods; they can also load irregularly shaped goods that cannot be stably stacked, making them widely applicable.
(4) Wheeled pallets. Compared to post pallets and box pallets, wheeled pallets have small wheels at the bottom. Therefore, wheeled pallets offer advantages such as short-distance movement, self-handling, and roll-on/roll-off loading and unloading, making them versatile and adaptable.
